Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 3 August 2026
publish.my makes it effortless to put a site online. Keep it lawful and respectful —
this policy explains what isn't allowed.
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") applies to everyone who uses publish.my (the "Service")
and to all content published through it. It forms part of, and uses the same defined terms as, our
Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
This includes anything an AI agent publishes on your behalf. Content deployed using your email
address or API key is your content and your responsibility, whether
you wrote it yourself or instructed an agent to write and publish it for you.
1Prohibited content
Do not publish, host, link to, or distribute any content that:
- Is illegal or promotes, facilitates, or instructs others in illegal activity.
- Is seditious or otherwise unlawful in Malaysia — the Service is operated from
Malaysia, so what you publish must be lawful here. This includes sedition and incitement concerning
race, religion, or the Malay Rulers ("3R"), and content that breaches Malaysian communications,
censorship, or public-order law.
- Sexually exploits or endangers children in any way. This includes child sexual
abuse material (CSAM). We have zero tolerance, will remove it immediately, and will report it to law
enforcement and relevant authorities.
- Is sexually explicit — we do not host pornography or sexually explicit material
of any kind. This includes sexual content involving non-consent, and intimate images published
without the subject's consent, whether real or artificially generated.
- Involves gambling or betting — online casinos, slot games, sports or esports
betting, lotteries and number games, poker, or betting tips and predictions. This also covers
affiliate, referral, review, and landing pages that promote or drive traffic to any such service,
whether or not the gambling itself happens elsewhere.
- Sells or promotes medicines or health products unlawfully — prescription-only or
unlicensed medicines, products that require registration but do not have it (for example a Malaysian
NPRA/MAL registration number), miracle cures, or unapproved claims about treating, curing, or
preventing disease, including slimming, detox, and sexual-enhancement products. Legitimate clinic,
pharmacy, hospital, and health-information sites are welcome here — it is the unlawful sale or
advertising of regulated health products that is not.
- Exists to manipulate search rankings — doorway or gateway pages, link farms,
private blog networks, cloaking, scraped or bulk auto-generated pages, parasite SEO, or sites whose
main purpose is to redirect visitors elsewhere rather than to be read.
- Promotes financial scams or unlicensed financial services — money games, Ponzi
or pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing recruitment funnels, "get rich quick" offers, forex or
binary-options signals, fake or unlicensed trading platforms, or any service requiring a licence from
Bank Negara Malaysia or the Securities Commission Malaysia that you do not hold.
- Involves fraudulent cryptocurrency or digital-asset schemes — deceptive token
sales, ICOs, airdrops, or giveaway offers, and wallet-connect or "drainer" pages designed to take
control of a visitor's assets.
- Infringes intellectual property — copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret —
or sells or distributes counterfeit goods.
- Involves piracy or unlicensed distribution — streaming or download portals, IPTV
services, cracked or pirated software, keygens and licence-key generators, and unlicensed mirrors of
ebooks, manga, film, music, or other media.
- Is malicious — malware, viruses, ransomware, exploit kits, or code intended to
harm, gain unauthorised access to, or disrupt any system, device, or data.
- Is deceptive or fraudulent — phishing, scams, fake login pages, impersonation of
any person or brand, or content designed to deceive or defraud. This includes synthetic or
AI-generated media used to impersonate a real person or organisation.
- Offers forged documents or academic dishonesty — fake certificates, diplomas,
identity documents, or credentials, and essay-writing or contract-cheating services.
- Promotes violence or hate — incites or threatens violence, terrorism, or harm,
or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation,
disability, or similar protected characteristics.
- Harasses or endangers others — harassment, bullying, threats, or publishing
private or personal information about others without consent ("doxxing").
- Involves regulated or dangerous goods in violation of law — for example illegal
drugs, weapons, or explosives, or the sale or advertising of tobacco, vape and e-cigarette products,
or alcohol where this is restricted. Advertising vape and smoking products is prohibited in Malaysia
under the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024.
- Violates privacy or data-protection law, or misuses personal data.
This list is not exhaustive. We may remove or disable any site we consider harmful, unlawful, or
damaging to the Service or its reputation, at our sole discretion.
2Prohibited conduct
Regardless of the content, do not:
- Attack, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure (including denial-of-service
attacks, flooding, or attempts to bypass security or rate limits).
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' sites or keys, or any related
systems or data.
- Circumvent or abuse usage limits, or create multiple deployments to evade limits, suspensions, or
detection.
- Use the Service primarily as a general file store, hotlinking/bandwidth source, proxy, or
redirector, rather than to host a website.
- Run cryptocurrency mining, botnets, or other resource-abusing or automated-abuse schemes.
- Send spam, or use sites hosted here in connection with unsolicited bulk messaging.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
3Technical limits
The Service hosts static sites only — no server-side code, databases, or backend
applications. You must stay within the published usage limits (such as upload size, file count, file
size, and monthly views). We may rate-limit or block requests that threaten the stability, security, or
fair use of the Service.
4Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including
removing or disabling content, suspending or terminating sites, keys, or access, and reporting unlawful
activity to the authorities. Where practical we may give notice or an opportunity to fix an issue, but
for serious violations — such as illegal content, fraud, or attacks on our systems — we may act
immediately and without notice. We may cooperate with law enforcement and respond to lawful requests.
5Reporting abuse
If you believe a site hosted on publish.my violates this Policy, please report it to
[email protected]. Include the site address (URL), a description of
the problem, and any supporting detail. For intellectual-property complaints, identify the work and your
rights to it. We review reports and act on genuine violations; we may share details of a report with the
relevant site operator or authorities as appropriate.
6Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and your
continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
